After the crash, Lynn was taken into custody and faces multiple charges, including DUI, fleeing police, and several felony offenses. Authorities also reported that he was charged with two counts of cruelty to children.

Our thoughts are with the injured child, and we wish them a full and speedy recovery.
People injured in a DUI-related crash in Cobb County may have the right to pursue compensation through a civil claim, regardless of whether criminal charges are filed or how a criminal case ultimately ends. While law enforcement and prosecutors focus on determining whether a crime occurred, a personal injury claim focuses on the harm suffered by victims and their families.
Because these are separate legal matters, those injured do not have to wait for the criminal process to conclude before exploring their legal options. Taking action early can also help preserve important evidence and documentation connected to the collision.
Drunk driving crashes often result in serious injuries because impaired drivers may have slower reaction times, poor judgment, and reduced control of their vehicles. Victims can suffer broken bones, head injuries, spinal trauma, internal injuries, and other conditions that require extensive medical treatment.
In some cases, recovery may take months or even years. When a child is injured, families may face additional concerns about long-term medical care, rehabilitation, educational impacts, and the overall effect the injury may have on the child's future well-being.
Beyond the physical recovery, many families experience significant financial challenges after a serious collision. Medical bills, therapy costs, lost wages, and other accident-related expenses can quickly add up. It is essential to keep records of medical treatment, prescriptions, hospital visits, and other costs, which can help document the full impact of the crash. Photographs, witness information, police reports, and insurance communications may also provide important evidence when evaluating a potential claim.
Legal guidance can assist with investigating the crash, reviewing evidence gathered by law enforcement, communicating with insurance companies, and determining what compensation may be available. Depending on the circumstances, compensation could include medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, and other damages related to the collision.
A personal injury attorney familiar with Cobb County traffic conditions can help victims understand their rights, gather critical evidence early, and communicate with insurance carriers on their behalf.
