Cobb Co., GA – Two Killed After Semitruck Overturns in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-75

Cobb County, GA (April 6, 2026) – On Friday, April 3, two people were killed after a multi-vehicle crash involving a Papa John’s semitruck on Interstate 75 north in Cobb County.

According to police, the crash began when a Freightliner semitruck failed to maintain its lane and collided with another Freightliner. After the initial impact, the first truck moved back toward the right lane, where a pickup truck pulling a trailer struck it from behind.

Authorities said the pickup then traveled across multiple lanes of traffic, while the Papa John’s semitruck lost control, overturned, and crashed into a sound barrier.

Two people inside the Papa John’s truck, identified as 28-year-old Zory Beavers and 42-year-old Royan Osborne, were killed in the crash.

The drivers of the other vehicles involved were not reported injured.

The incident remains under investigation.
