Marietta, GA (July 28, 2026) – On Saturday afternoon, July 25, a motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after a crash in Marietta in the 3300 block of Ernest Barrett Parkway.

Police said a 2005 Honda CBR600 motorcycle and a 2009 Toyota Corolla were traveling northbound on Ernest Barrett Parkway around 1:19 p.m. Near Anderson Estates Court, the motorcyclist became separated from the motorcycle for reasons that remain unknown.

Authorities said the unoccupied motorcycle continued northbound, crossed into the path of the Toyota, and struck the passenger side before crossing the median and coming to rest on the western shoulder of the roadway.

Emergency responders found the rider in a driveway in the 3300 block of Ernest Barrett Parkway and transported the individual to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Toyota driver was not injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and officials have not released the identities of those involved.
