Scooter Rider Hospitalized After Wreck on Powder Springs Rd in Marietta, GA

Marietta, GA (August 11, 2026) – A male scooter rider was rushed to a hospital late Monday night, August 10, after being struck by two vehicles near Powder Springs Road and Hammond Woods Circle.

Police investigators determined that the man was riding across Powder Springs Road when a northbound Toyota Camry collided with him. The initial impact knocked the rider into the southbound lanes, where he was subsequently struck by a 2010 Honda Civic.

Emergency medical personnel transported the rider to Kennestone Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Neither of the automobile drivers reported injuries, and both remained at the location to cooperate with authorities.

It remains unconfirmed whether the rider was operating an electric or motorized scooter.
